About Us

Hygiah Surface Sanitizing is a minority-owned, family-run business offering customized sanitization and disinfection programs to kill COVID-19 and other cold and flu viruses on indoor surfaces. Hygiah’s team is devoted to keeping you, your employees, your customers, and your loved ones safe.

Hygiah serves a wide range of clients, providing a solution that keeps offices, retail stores, fitness centers, healthcare facilities, restaurants, and homes safe and virus-free.

We deploy technicians who have been certified by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) to each client site. We assess each site and work with you to create a customized program to meet your specific needs.

Hygiah’s trained cleaning professionals use electrostatic technology and highly effective sprays developed by Clorox. Hygiah serves more than 3 million square feet of commercial real estate space throughout the Chicago metropolitan aera.

The concept for Hygiah Surface Sanitizing came about during a brainstorming session by the Herb family, successful business operators, entrepreneurs, and commercial real estate owners.  The family was exploring options for effectively combating COVID-19 (SARS-CoV-2 Virus) and providing the safest environments possible as the pandemic spread across Illinois.

One of the family’s businesses is The Garlands of Barrington, a continuing care retirement community. The Garlands team had used the Clorox® Total 360® System to successfully combat seasonal flu viruses and protect residents and staff for several years. It was immediately apparent to the Herb family that this technology would be an effective solution to deploy against the COVID-19 virus.

Hygiah has chosen a revolutionary system from global brand Clorox®.

This system combines innovative technology and specialized products to deliver a complete solution for commercial spaces. The Clorox® Total 360® System uses specialized “List N” disinfectants that meet the Environmental Protection Agency’s criteria for use against SARS-CoV-2, the coronavirus that causes COVID-19, and other pathogens.
